Reviving the tea sector will help increase the economy of Mauritius. Each year, Mauritius produces 8,000 tonnes of tea, according to the FAO. Being cultivated on high quality land, Mauritian tea require less fertilizer. The stakeholders had a get-together in Ebene this Thursday as a workshop organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Industry.
The main purpose of this workshop is to discuss the recommendations of this report. And therefore, developing an action plan to stimulate tea production activities in Mauritius.
