Land clearing

Land clearing

Land clearing is the process of removing trees, brush, stones, and other obstacles from an area needed. To increase the size of the land base of an existing farm or to provide land for a new farm operation. The newly cleared land is ready to cultivate, leveling to meet crop rotation and soil goals.

 SITE SELECTION

Soil suitability for agricultural production uses Soil Survey Reports. Provide on-site soil boring test holes (recommended 2 tests per acre). And a soil boring report indicates surface texture, depth to layer, depth to bedrock, capability, percent slope, percent stone, percent surface stone, and percent rock.

Soils will be based on the soil report and the soil selection criteria in the section.
