The Prime Minister showed his intention for the reform of the sugarcane industry. He performed the delivery of title deeds to 150 previous sugar industries employees of Médine on the 16th August 2021. He stated that the voluntary retirement plan is a way to show appreciation to all workers in the sugar industry.
Pravind Jugnauth affirmed his determination to aim for the reform of the sugar industry in order to safeguard its growth; as was the case 20 years ago with the development of the VRS.
