Passion Fruit Overview
Passion fruit is a tropical fruit from the passiflora vine, which also produces passion flowers. Originally from southern Brazil, this vine is now cultivated in many tropical regions. Passion fruit is known for its tough rind and seed-filled, juicy interior. Two primary cultivars are Passiflora edulis, which has a purple rind, and Passiflora flavicarpa, which is larger and yellow. Growing passion fruit requires plenty of sunlight, well-draining soil, and regular watering to ensure healthy vines and vibrant fruit.
