“Batsirai Rehabilitation Loan Scheme”: up to Rs 500,000 for planters

Plantations in numerous regions around the island has been affected during the passage of the cyclone “Batsirai”. Seeing the problems of the planters, the government did not remain cold hearted. “Batsirai Rehabilitation Loan Scheme” has been put in place by the Development Bank (DBM) to help the planters. A financial support plan of up to Rs 500,000 had been purposed.  At the DBM, we are busy initiating the administrative procedures in the light of the assessments made by the agricultural authorities, the FAREI and the MCIA. While waiting to get the financial help to restart their crops, the planters had been going work.
