To accelerate the re-emergence of the tea sector, the Mauritian government is providing the following facilities.
The winter allowance has been raised from Rs 1.50 to Rs 2.00 per kilogram.
At the tea plantations of Nouvelle France, Grand Bois, and Bois Cheri, Rs 6 million has been allocated to restore roads and construct proper drainage systems.
At a subsidized cost of Rs 10 per unit, 10,000 tea plantlets will be given.
